About.
Hamburg-based Minimal & Speed House and Indie Dance DJ, resident at Frame Kollektiv.
Behind the decks since 2017. Those years have shaped the way JASHTECH approaches DJing. He spends a lot of time preparing the music he plays—setting loops and cues, working with acapellas and developing transition ideas. The material is carefully prepared, but the direction of the set is not. At the core of every performance is one simple philosophy: the better the preparation, the greater the freedom to improvise.
Once the music starts, every decision depends on the situation. Some tracks invite layering, new combinations or a different context. Others are strongest when they are given enough space to work on their own. For JASHTECH, knowing when not to interfere is just as important as knowing how to build a complex transition.
His sets are never about following a fixed routine or showing off as many techniques as possible. Track selection, timing and the energy in the room come first, while careful preparation gives him the freedom to react, change direction and create a shared experience on the dancefloor.
Together with TŌNMEISTER he also plays as sexonthedecks.
